As of today, Friday May 1, 2020, we are putting a hold on our scheduled Grad Night event due to the current restrictions. We are closely monitoring the Washington State social distancing guidelines and we are working with Grad Nights, the district, and the school to determine what our next steps may be. We know this is not what any of us had expected, and we understand how frustrating this is for our seniors.

Tickets - Party Waiver – Bus Sign Up - Logistics

In an effort to keep our seniors safe, RHS PTSA sponsors an all-night drug and alcohol-free graduation celebration. Your graduate will enjoy a variety of super fun-filled activities, lots of food (no one goes hungry!), and the chance to be with their friends on one of the most memorable nights of their lives!

Graduation is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion on the University of Washington Campus.



In order to attend the RHS PTSA sponsored Grad Night party, you must first purchase a ticket either online, or fill out the form found here (Ticket prices increase March 1. All payments received by midnight February 29 qualify for the lower ticket price).

  • Once a ticket has been purchased and payment confirmed, you will be sent a 2020 Senior Class Graduation Party Waiver/Agreement.
  • It is required that it be filled out completely, and that both parent and student sign the waiver.
  • You will not be allowed to sign up for a seat on the bus or attend the event until it is completed.
  • If you have an issue with the form, please let us know by emailing the grad night committee here.
  • Should a student have a life-threatening allergy or condition, you are required to fill out an Emergency Care Plan form. Please request this by emailing the grad night committee here.


Bus Seats

When all forms have been submitted and signed, you will be directed to sign up for 1 seat on the bus. You can only sign up for 1 seat. You can’t sign up anyone else for a seat on any bus. We gave all the buses a name that is affiliated with the Seattle area.

  • Bus seats are first come first served.
  • We will NOT change you, or your friends from one bus to another. Be sure you know which one you want to be on before you sign up for a bus seat.
  • Once a bus is full, it will be removed from the options available to sign up for. If it doesn’t show up, then it is FULL.
  • We are estimating 6 buses total. We will first open seating on 4 buses. When they are full, we will open seating on the 5th, and then the 6th if needed.

Bus Names: Macklemore, Hendrix, Rain Wilson, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Grays Anatomy, Twin Peaks



Students should arrive at the RHS parking lot at 9:15 pm on Monday June 15th. They should NOT bring anything with them. They should wear comfortable clothing and shoes. The committee will have anything they might need. Toiletries, chap stick, etc. They don’t need to bring anything!

Any students with a life-threatening allergy or condition: please request the ECP form and we will accommodate their needs, so they can attend their grad night party!

  • They will need to go to the check in table at the front of the PAC doors and get their wrist band.
  • Anyone who has not checked in and received their wrist band will not be allowed on the bus.
  • From there they will go to their bus and line up.
  • Students will be patted down and anything taken that they may have brought with them, including cell phones (the chaperone on their bus will keep it with them until the end of the night).
  • Any illegal substances or alcohol will not be returned.
  • We will depart RHS at approx. 9:50 pm. Any students who don’t show up on time will miss the bus and will not be allowed to join the event.
  • We will return to the RHS parking lot at approx. 6:00 am. Students are NOT allowed to drive themselves home. Please be there or make arrangements with another parent to pick them up.

Locations of the event are not given out for security purposes. Students will know where they are going when they get there. We will have a minimum of 2 chaperones per bus.

We promise they will have an AMAZING time with their friends!
